Hi,

Life is an opportunity to learn, to teach and to grow in spirit.
It's also an opportunity to feel every possible emotion in existence. A joyous adventure in creativity and problem solving.

It is the practice we need to get beyond physical existence to paradise where there is nothing but love and peace.

Nope, it's not a game, although parts of it are certainly meant to be fun......lots of it in fact. I'd say it's kind of a dress rehearsal toward enlightenment.

I don't understand the idea of a struggle to be accepted......? Who are you struggling to be accepted by..? Or is that how you see life itself?

There need be no struggle - we're here, that's it. We're unique individuals - that's it.

Enjoy your life. I do!

Well, I turned 40 last week and I feel that most of the struggle to be accepted is over.
I used to think "I'm not clever enough" or "I haven't done anything super impressive" (according to my old definition of impressive) or "I wish my parents were more loving" or "I wish I had nicer legs"!!
For me, I did most of the wishing in my 20s, became experimental and exorcised most of the anger and frustration in my 30s and now believe that life may just begin at 40.
You can't be someone you're not and you need to be proud of who you are. I realise that I have always been told wonderful things about myself by the people I really loved and yet often defined myself by the people I actually didn't like that much but thought I should be.
I like to think I'm happy, (although life does throw some tricky things at you that we need for our personal development) and I tend to chose friends that are warm, kind, creative, thoughtful and make me laugh. I couldn't give a monkey's *** about a lot of the things I was told mattered when I was young. What a waste of time.
I hope you 'get there' a lot sooner than 40.
Love and light, honey! x

For the most part I'm just pretty well happy ---as far as the one big game to be accepted ---that one elludes me----Acceptance is so truely rare in life--to focus too heavily on it is to set yourself up for grand disappointments --what some people read as acceptance from others in alot of cases is truely no more than a balanced toleration on the part of those that are sometimes figured as being the ones closest in--True acceptance is very much akin to true love for it is mostly unconditional--freely given and expects very little back---that is the combination of things that makes it such a hard one to find--------CHEERS BACK AT YOU

Life is a journey, not a destination. If you think of it as a destination you will never get there or never be happy. Enjoy the journey and don't forget to keep looking out of the window and admiring the view.

Sometimes life resembles a game of cards. You have one hand at this table, its up to you to make the most of it. Turning it into a winning hand can take a little time and skill.

if you accept who you are (which includes the hunt of actually finding out WHO you are) there is no need to find acceptance of self by others...

but finding out who you are is probably going to take a lifetime (or a few more)
