Do you like him? Why or why not? He seems like such a nice individual. Still, however, I'm not convinced to use Geico. The gecko himself is just entertaining per se. What makes commercials convincing? I think Quizno's commercials are relatively convincing.
By the way, see the gecko here: http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/5290/0311gecko2hz.jpg

I think the Geico stands for Government Employees Insurance Company. Therefore, they should be a nationwide company...if that is important to you. The important things when buying insurance of any kind should be their service, how fast they respond to a claim, and price. If Geico fulfills those needs, then why not give them a shot?
The gecko should not be a determining factor in which insurance company to choose. For example, would you choose Charmin Bath Tissue simply because there is a family of bears that use it?
The gecko used to have an upper class British accent, and, at least, sounded authoritative... now that he has a lower class, cockney accent, he comes off as more of a comedy act.
You could call Progressive for a free quote, and they give you the 3 best policies for your particular situation... if Geico pops up as one of the 3, there's one more opinion and it comes from someone in that business. Thanks

The gecko is an interesting character. For me, I like all of the Geico commercials. I think that the gecko is entertaining. I think that the content of the message sell me on Geico more than just the gecko alone. The gecko included along with the benefits of using Geico, seems to be a winning combination. I think that the whole Geico/gecko thing was a clever idea.
