~Reading the answers here, and other answers to similar questions, has convinced me of one thing for sure. Much as I admire and respect George Mason and Tommy Jefferson, democracy with universal suffrage is like sending Ted Bundy to nursing school on a full scholarship. Can't we vote for an enlightened despot and take the vote out of the hands of people that think like this? Please. Pretty Please. With Cherries on top.

Really!
Certain people in the government are on a rampage to try and put down the people who really know the truth.
All anyone has to do is go on ebay....there you can find conspircy DVD's such as "Loose Change" "Loose Change second edition" Alex Jones "Martial Law" etc...
These DVD's are cheap too...maybe 5 or 6 bucks. The DVD documentary called "Loose Change" was put together by some college students from New York City. These boys did an excellent job of investigating and documenting the events of 9/11.
It includes many live interviews from people at the scene...and is quite thorogh.
The reason why so many people refuse to accept what really happned is because not enough people are buying these DVD's, making copies, and then sharing them with family and friends.
What really happened? Well....basically....to make a long story short.....
The two planes that hit the towers were empty and flown by remote control. Explosives were planted through out both towers over a two month period preceeding the attack. The real terrorist controlled the demolition from WTC building 7. Then later that afternoon they blew up building 7 to get rid of all the evidence.
A small military jet painted white shot a missle into the ground and we are supposed to believe that was flight 93.
Another simillar kind of jet flew in very quick and low towards the Pentagon but it didn't crash into it. It shot a Tomahawk cruise missle into the side of the building.
Who ever orchestrated and executed this major manuever didn't do all that good of a job....in my opinion....a lot of mistakes were made. Their plan had some holes in it....and if you look at the overall picture including the facts...it is indeed amazing that Bush is still in office. How?.......because........
They control and supress the media....and they are constantly jumping from one issue to the next meaningless issue in an effort to keep stringing us along with their act....and hopefully at the same time we will forget about what happened yesterday.
The whole thing is a very pathitic situation, and the games these people are playing is extremely dangerous. Bush needs to be detained in one of his own "Terrorist Prisons" Lock this man up for no reason at all. Hold him without bail. Deny him of any hearing or trial. Wire tap his jail cell.....and give this poor excuse for a President a taste of his own medicine! Amen Already!!

First off, let me tell you that the sitting president ALWAYS gets the economy that the outgoing guy set up. buttwo termers start to see what they did in their first term.
Bush inherited bad policies from Clinton who had a good economy, due to Reagan/Bush.
I don't think this Bush has done much harm or good, but it was not a bad thing to get Saddam out of power. In the end, the political climate of the middle east breeds tyrants and allows them to regularly come to power.
I would give our sitting President a b-/c+ rating
clinton a full grade lower, Bush 1 a solid b/b+ and Reagan a grade of a
More than you asked but I want to be thorough

you are just victimized by the liberal media; if you repeat something often enough people wil start to believe it.
Economy is good
Iraq war never about wmd's, it was about 214 failed UN sanctions
Halliburton is the only company that does what it does..so until some lib forms his own rebuilding company then helliburton is the only on that will be used.
Midddle east was a time bomb that will withstand ANY negotiation attempt; the majority of the countries there are not democratic but are really religious led which have no concept of the idea of tolerance. americans will never understand this.
americans will never understand that the government was never meant to be this big, yet everyone blames it for not doing enough.

Bush is just another mouthpiece for corporate America just like Clinton. NAFTA anyone? Vote independently because this is a one party system in the USA, the "Money Party." Both parties follow the money and its time to get more independent thinkers and doers in Washington. We can take this country back with our minds and try to vote for the little guy who may try to change things in Washington. Elected officials act like a group of idiots and say whatever their speech writers know will make a good soundbite. The only people who can change that is the citizens. Vote for people who can actually think and not because they sound exactly like you want them to. The fact that they always seem to say the right thing should tell you more then you need to know.

I use to respect Bush, but it has changed in the last couple of years. I have never respected Congress no matter who is charge. I am still not sure what good Bush has done. Clinton before was just as much an idiot as Bush. Until we get someone who is actually smart and surrounds himself/herself with competent people, we have to keep riding this train of ignorance.

political expediency and plausible tenability always be a part of any government no matter the type. Politicians do not have to live directly with the results of their decisions. For example members of congress are in a different retirement system than those depending on Social Security. If they were covered by the same things as those impacted by their actions, I would hope they would be less apt to do the stupid things they seem to be addicted to.

I agree completely with Lodi. If Bush is so openly corrupt and so bad for this country then it's congress's fault for not already impeaching him! I hear and read a lot of accusations and theories but never any hard evidence. But keep it up if that's what gets you through the day.

First the fact that you are not dodging ied's in your neighborhood is proof that he is at least partially on the right track.
Second, yes the fact that during conservative control a lot of corruption is exposed even in their own party is one of the reasons i will trust a conservative over a politician that say's "sure it may not be right, but it's not illegal" like a certain prominate democrate was quoted as saying.

I think what people lose sight of is that he has more information than he is sharing with the rest of us. There are such things as "Classified Documents". These are what drive decisions. Bush does a poor job of jusifying his decisions to America. I think he's doing exactly what he needs to do.
