You'll be fine in Gainesville. Lot's of older students doing the grad school thing there.

I did my MBA at USF in Tampa, where the average age of the entire student population is 28. So, you'll fit right in...no problem.

First ask yourself WHY are you going back to school.
If you're going back for career reasons, each day is a step further toward fulfilling your goal. By now you have had more life experience which means that school might be more meaningful and/or easier than it was as an undergraduate. Also, you're not there for the social scene....If you have good interaction that day with other students, great; if not.......so what.
When I went back to a 4 year school I just concentrated on the coursework. I actually had a friend from work taking the same classes, which was a bonus. When I went back to take classes at junior college, nearly half the class was in their 30s or older.
Hope this helps!

I think these days people are re-educating so much it's not that big a deal any more. I train people who are twice that age. I guess the point you're trying to make is that you feel like it's a little too late. It's never too late.
What ever age you are, and what ever your abilities or disabilities there will alway be people smarter, younger and faster. There will also be people older and wiser with a broader perspective on the world. You do what you can with what you have while you have it. You make sure you are the best you can be, and don't worry about the competition, and you will be happy. That's the point after all isn't it?

I'm in my early 30s, and I'm the youngest person in my program. I'm glad I waited a few years between undergrad and graduate school, because now I have a context for everything I am learning.

If you have the drive, time, and money to go back to school, you should do it!
