Corruption and money go hand in hand in any walk of life not just sports. It is alarming and backs up requests for video replay for big decisions.

It is clear FIFA is corrupt and the evidence is mounting. The Swiss authorities are currently investigating the ISL fiasco and all the kick-backs involved for TV rights. Andrew Jennings has done great research on all this and just put out a book documenting the side-deals (he's the same guy who blew the lid on IOC corruption).

Question: Why don't traditional media outlets cover this issue more? Are they afraid of losing the TV rights?

You forgot the following Swiss (or should that be swizz) referee:

In April 1997, European football association UEFA banned top-referee Kurt Röthlisberger for life. He was found guilty of bribery.

Many fans knew for years he was corrupt - you just had to see his performances - but the authorities never had the evidence until late in his career.

They caught the small fish, whilst the big fish, although sometimes it was 'caught', was left there, the resigning of a person or so does not mean that the rest of the sharks are not there anymore, and this world cup is showing it up with the fixes we are seeing

Big business has too much influence on the game. Blatter is corrupt. He may not have taken bribes but he has not made FIFA an open book. He should be ashamed of himself.

There is always money running on each game!! That`s why some people are so afraid of the small teams going far: they`re afraid they aren`t able to rob them!!!
Shame on Fifa if the games are fixed!!
