I have a land contract, and my landlord wants to evict me, i have been to court for the eviction already. the judge looked at the contract and he said it was not a very god version of it. I have paid an extra 50.00 a month since 7/2002. and the contract states that if for any reason we fall behind on rent the contract is null and void. i got behind 2 years and 3100.00 and had the opportunity to catch up i did. Wouldn't this make the land contract over? Since then i got behind in the last 2 months. I owe 1550.00 right now. Since i was behind before, shouldn't the extra 50.00 go towards now?

My land contract is not a legal version according to the judge. it doesnt state how much we're buying it for, when it goes into effect or the specific details. all i was asking was why am i paying extra money wheni don't have to. And the reason i got behind I just had a tumor removed in my back and I have been off work and will not be able to work for another month.

That's not what the contract says. Just because your landlord allowed it before doesn't mean you can keep doing it. The contract states if you're late for any reason, you're history, and this time it's being enforced. Why would you expect someone to give you free rent for such a long time? You're landlord is trying to make money not lose it. You are a bad investment for him/her. You need to be more responsible with your money management and bill paying. You also need to hope your landlord hasn't destroyed your credit in the process.

Since the judge said that the contract does not meet legal requirements, you in fact have no contract. Since real estate contracts must always be in writing, you are probably legally a tentant at will and can be evicted.

Consult with an attorney. You need one!

Nope, a contract is a contract, if you are 2 months behind they can evict you for non payment.
