my live messenger says it can't find winhttp.dll. ihave tried re installing messenger and have down loaded winhttp.dll but it's not cured. the file went automaticaly into my documents. do i need to move it and how do i do that? can anyone help?

Hey fren
do u have live messenger beta version?
If yes then u cannot use it now.u have to get the full version. But if u have downloaded the full version then u can try these steps.,
Try to uninstall the live messenger.
And reinstall the older version like 7.5
test it
Again uninstall it
Now install the beta full version.

Find the winhttp.dll file in "my documents" open it, run it.. then try re-installing msn messenger... also try system restore and go back as far as you can...... make sure you virus scan EVERYTHING you download before you open it.....

Have you tried contacting customer service. They are pretty good with results.

windows live latest is available now. try it. if the problem remains u better call customer support

move the downloaded winhttp.dll to C:\WINDOWS\system32 and see.

try restarting windows.. it may work..
