I got very light skin and so I have to use a lot of sun cream. we sometimes go to the swimming pool with our class and they always say that I shouldnt use so much suncream because I wont get tanned this way. I told them hundreds of times that I never get tanned and only get sunburned when I dont use sunscreen. they just dont have no clue
but is it even worse at school. people call me a corpse because of my skin tone(I know I dont look like that but I guess they just think its fun to offend me).
today one of my classmates even asked me if I had a skin sickness because I use so much sun cream.
and then they say I should use dark make-up to make my skin look darker. but what for? I like my look so whats their problem?! they act like they are better because of their skin (theyre white too so its not a big difference).
do any of you have the same problem? and dont tell me that I dont have to worry and that Im pretty because I know that I just would like to know whats wrong with them.

i have the opposite problem; in my family im the darkest so im always made fun of and ridiculed. i wished for the longest time that i had been born with a fairer complexion but you gotta work with what you have. you may be tired of hearing this but just ignore those jerks and be proud of what you look like. its all about location; there are parts of the world where having pale skin is looked upon with the highest regard. for all those kids at school who taunt you there are a million others who would kill to be in your shoes (skin).

You know, you might want to point out that all that sun can damage your skin cells. Years ago when my sister was in her late teens she'd go out and tan with her friends. She'd even get real dark and it went so far sometimes that she'd come in terribly sunburned.

Anyway, by the time she was 25 she looked pretty old. The crulest shock was having one of her friends from her youth remark about how she liked her laugh lines in her face. My sister came home in tears after that because you normally don't have that pronounced a set of laugh lines until your much older.

It's sad, but it's human nature to discriminate based on differences. Being tan is associated with fitness because many fit people spend a lot of time in the sun, but there's no real connection.

There's nothing wrong with naturally pale skin. It even looks sexy on some women. Just ignore these people, don't give them any indication you care what they say, and eventually they'll leave you alone.

Before I say anything else, I must say beauty is opinionated, not factual, so not everyone would simply find Lauryn Hill beautiful. It depends on the individual. I know countless people that dark-skinned girls attractive, but I don't think they're paying attention to their skin color, they're paying attention to their natural beauty. However, I also know a couple of people who don't find dark-skinned girls attractive because they prefer light skin. Skin color doesn't have anything to do with beauty in my opinion, but rather body structure and facial features.

i got no idea why people care bout tanning so much. its kinda creepy in a way when some white kid comes up to me and they're like, "you're so tan! i wish i was tan as you!"
i dont like it

but you be proud of your color! who cares what those fakies think? you're white, you're supposed to be white. there's nothing u can do about it. its those dumb kids that're trynna be something they're not. they'll be regretting tanning once they get wrinkly skin n cancer

people say like that because its in trend to have a tan look. and they also think that if they want a look like that, so does everyone too.but it is not so. u should always be a trend setter and not a trend follower.
