ha ha who is Fredi just plaid the Asher's and became a hero actually he is a zero. i think tendulkar is a very good batsmen . but No.1 cricketer should shine in all parts of the game and should be a match winner like lance clusner who plaid the last world cup i still can remember the way he plaid with bat and ball. for the moment i can say it has to be sanath Jayapura and jack kales .

I completely agree with you. Sachin has been number 1 since years and years and will continue to be so. He has achieved so much as such a young age. If you look at other players who've played as many ODIs as him, Inzamam, Jayasuriya...you can really see how far he has come!

i admit that maybe he is not as consistant in his play as others...but on a bigger scale he is uncomparable.

The guy is absolutely brilliant, pure excellance.

Sachin at the moment is still suffering with his niggling injuries. In his prime it was very close between him and Lara. Tendulkar has been techically better. Time waits for no man even ST. No 1 batsman at the moment would be Rickie Ponting.

sachin tendulkar WAS the No.1 player. He is also known as master blaster because he ripped the asses off the bowlers but as he is growing older, his game is also getting slower. He is still a very good batsman but not the No.1

no doubt he is the best if you rate a player not only by his form or aggregate of runs but also by his attitude towards the game.
the way Sachin has seved the game for 16 years is simply exceptional.his records might be broken but no one can match his temperament

Nopes. Hes not in the best of forms. He used to be #1 but not any more. Ponting is # 1.

To me, it doesn't matter how many Sehwag's and how many Dhoni's come to International cricket and show off their skills. For me, Sachin was, is, and always will be my favorite player. There's no one better than him.Period.
