nothing.... because you were sleeping??? except on the odd chance that you were sleep-walking while you were sleeping and dreaming that you were awake... then who knows what might have happened.

Not sure what you mean but I once had a dream within a dream (I actually dreamt that I was having a nightmare). However, I didnt realise that I was dreaming about dreaming and because it was a nightmare I 'woke' myself up (as I always do if I have a nightmare). At that point I thought I was awake, as I could see my room all dark from my bed as you do when you wake up at night. What I didnt realise at the time was that I WAS still dreaming. So here I was lying in my bed, looking around my dusky room a little shaken after my nightmare when my bedroom door opens, a dark figure walks in, comes up to me and tries to strangle me. I have never gotten such a fright in my life!! Only then did I actually wake myself up properly and realise that I had had a nightmare within a dream, 'woken up' within a dream which in turn turned into it's own nightmare.
Thats the scariest nightmare Ive ever had because I genuinely believed I had just woken up from another nightmare and usually they dont scare me as I'll tell myself 'its not real' then wake up immediately! This time I thought I was real!
Strange!

Dear Friend in "Dream Time,"....the American Indians and the Tietans believe that the ''time twixt awakening and dreaming'' is known as ''Diamond Consciousness," time. This is a very important step in your evolution in registering things that are normally outside your awareness. These "Diamond Consciousness" times are bits of information that is being conveyed to you for your guidance or for your protection. They are symbols for to contemplate. They will then be followed by two or more patterns of the same theme during your waking days. It is the Great Universal Intelligence of the Universe and those who love and care for you ''who are on the other side,'' who are trying to convey a message to you. The more you de-limit your mind and allow these ''precious gem moments'' to fall into place, the more a theme will emerge that is uniquely for you. Happy Dream Time....In Goodwill, kunndunn@Yahoo.com

You have become enlightened. If you had a dream about being a lion, would you be a lion or a person dreaming about being a lion? And when you wake up, are you really a person or a lion dreaming about being human?

THIS IS YOUR SUBCONSCIENCE TRYING TO GET YOUR ATTENTION THAT THERE IS SOMETHING WITHIN YOUR LIFE THAT NEEDS YOUR DESPERATE ATTENTION. LOOK MORE INTO THE FINE DETAILS OF YOUR DREAM THAT YOU CAN REMEMBER IN ORDER TO HELP FIND THE CLUES TO WHAT IS TRYING TO BE RELAYED TO YOU. ALL ANSWERS ARE FROM WITHIN OURSELVES. IT IS "US" AS HUMAN BEINGS WHO DO NOT TRUST IN OUR OWN JUDGEMENT AND THUS LOOK TO THE OUTSIDE (OTHERS) FOR HELP AND ANSWERS. ALSO, USUALLY IF A DREAM HAS ANY SIGNIFICANT MEANING, IT WILL COME TO PASS/ OR HAPPEN WITHIN 3 DAYS AFTER THE DREAM.
AS TO A MORE SIMPLE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION; WHAT HAPPENED IS THAT YOU WENT INTO A HIGHER STATE OF CONSCIOUSNESS WHEN YOU DREAMED IN THIS KIND OF MANNER.

I've often had a dream within a dream.
Nothing *expectant* would happen.
