i have to take an admission test which will have analogies in them. If you are very good/expert at analogies, please tell me how I can improve my analogie skills and get a better score? Any tips? Thanks!

I'm pretty good at them. It just takes having an open mind, great imagination, and the ability to simplify things. I really don't know how someone would improve their existing abilities other than, perhaps, meditation which might clear your mind some. Just be confident in yourself... you'll do fine.

It's like riding a bike. Once you try it a few times you'll either get it... or discover that you were really destined to be a person that walks.

Really it's about finding something that has a similar aspect to what you're talking about, that may better convey the essence of the idea you wish to communicate.

Analogies test your abilities in abstraction. Abstraction is an indication of your ability to think laterally. The best way to think laterally is to picture visually, though to do it takes intelligence. There may be sites that help you do this, but without specific examples, it would be difficult to put my finger on what you require.
