Germany must win !!
Because:
1. Home advance; hugely underestimated !!
2. If Italy wins, or even worse, the world cup, the football community should be ashamde of themselves:
I for one will stop watching footbal, if this dreadful accident should occur......................
(For those of you who don't agree, please tell me why, or are you missing those horrific attacks from italian players (not all of them, thank god for that), to get other players invalid.......)
If this is the meaning of "fair play" than I do know what these words mean.......................

Don't take me wrong: I am a Dutch native, so it is fairly obvious to say that I definately don't cheer for the Germans !!
(However, you have to admit that Klingsman's opportunistic and dearing approach paid off. No team has grown in this event like they did, and I don't mean grown in the sense that they have to fake all kind of incidents and try to get opponants in the hospital, as other teams did -I take you know which teams they are-
But as with most things in life, if you take a minute, take a deep breath, think about it without "native" emotions and with knowledge of football (and fair play in particular), there can only be one conclusion......................
(And sorry for all of you who want to see Portugal win; they suffer from the same "disease" as the Italians do; you cannot expect to be a winner, if you take other people's feelings -and limbs- for granted, no matter how big a star you are !!!

I guess this match should deserve a 50% chance for each team.
German best points are:
1. Host team, crowd support
2. They've showed great willingness
3. Great morale after penalties against Argentina.
4. Great plays by Klose, Lehman, midfielders.
Italians:
1. Last friendly match 4-1 against Germany. Italy fear Argentina, but got a best chance against host team.
2. By now not so impressive. But Italy everytime plays well against great teams (Ghana, Czech) and badly against 'minor' teams (Australia, USA).
3. Great goalkeeper and defenders. Only one goal against. Anyway, an own goal.
4. Not tired - mental and physical - as Germany after extra-times and penalties. The only team in wich ALL players were send in the match, but two goalkeepers on bench.
So, my prevision is Italy will win.
About the 'shame' I'm not concerned and I don't understand what do you mean. Killer tackling? Not seen yet. De Rossi's foul? A great mistake, a right punishment.

Well, it is very possible it will go to penalties. Germany didnt generate much offense against Argentina, while Italy has a stellar defense. If Italy scores first, they could certianly win. If Germany scores first, it is definitely possible, but unlikely, I would think. Best of luck to both teams. GO PORTUGAL!

GERMANY !!!
There are always surprises in the World Cup.
People thought Brazil and France was a sure thing.
People thought England and Portugal was a sure thing.
And what happened?? Surprise!!
The Italians thought Germany and Italy is a sure thing.
And what's gonna happen??! Surprise!!! Italy will lose and this time, I can't even imagine how sore they will be.

I'm gonna be laughing so hard if they lose. I mean England fans thought the England/Portugal match was a sure thing, but look what happened. Don't underestimate the Italians though cause so far the quarterfinals had alot of surprises

No, They are going to lose..
This is what going to happen
France and Italy is going to the Finals and then France is going to make a kick in 10min when they get a PK and then Italy will make a score win in 20min.. Then it will be 1 to 1 and then over time for 30min... Then they will go to PK.. And Italy will make all 5 and France will make 4 only

Yes, I totally agree with you as Germany will win against Italy as Germany has a strong Defence as well as Strike.

absolutely not!! did you watch the games? If Italy brings their game like they did last time Germany will suffer a 2 - 0 defeat, remember I said that when it happens and ze germans go home and cry in their pumpernikle
