Well, I have a grandmother that is the whopping age of 103 in a skilled nursing facility. My second to oldest relative is her husband who is 100 and is in the rest home with her. They still have their wits about them, and still function as normal people. However, they can't drive. Walking is not an issue for them either, they walk around the hall 3 times each day for exercise.

Well my great aunt died a year ago and she was 103...and now I think the oldest is my aunt is near 80 and living with her husband doing all in the house and taking care of a cat and a dog old as she...And of course, she doesn't miss a football game...ask her about all the teams you can think of...and is they pass the game on TV, she will know! And and love doing crucigrams...and fighting with my uncle who is 83, and goes to horse race and bet!! And some night goes out in a drinking evening!

My Nan's sister is now 99. I saw one of the World War I veterans on the TV last night at a rememberance ceremony and he was 110! And could still recount his experiences from the trenches. Bless.

Family lifespans are always interesting ... it gives you some idea about your longevity.

I'm sorry to hear about your great aunt. My grandmom passed away last winter, I believe she was 83. She was a wonderful person and the best grandmom anyone could wish for.

There's a saying that goes: It's not how long a flower blooms, but the flower's beauty that matters most. I believe that to be true.
