Does anyone know anything about this company. I have chat someone named Mr. Richard Dennis, he says he is the VP of Human Resources of this company for shoes. He mentioned that they're hiring workers and asked me to submit scanned copies of my personal documents & passport copies. I'm hesitant to comply since I'm aware of the so-called "Identity Theft". Therefore, I'm asking Yahoo members, if they're aware of this company in UK, is it legitimate? Please help me, coz I'm really searching for a job, but I need to be sure that I'm dealing with real legitimate companies.

WE HAVE THE SAME SITUATION HERE. What I do was, I submitted all the requirements he was requesting for reason that if the company he is mensioning is legal then I can apply for legal. Then, I search their company's profile and the Robert Dennis it self and found out that the company MOONFRUIT was dissolved and the name Robert Dennis is a Photographer in Kennebunkport, Maine an artist and not an vice president of any company. I conclude that this is fully a SCAMMER... check the source list.

Scam is anywhere...Don't just grab all opportunities here in the internet, scan also for their profiles.

It varies from company to company. If you work for a very small firm they will be able to provide only the basic benefits. Companies are being obliged to provide a pension now, this is gradually being introduced startig with the largest companies. Paid Paternity and Maternity leave is obligitary too, As is a certain amount of Holiday Pay. Other than that an employee can only expect Sick Pay at the basic rate, and the first three days of sickness are unpaid. The Sick Pay actually comes from the Government, not the employer. Some employers voluntarily top it up, but not many do, these days. The salary too, may only be at the minimum wage, even for semi-skilled workers. Some firms will give an annual bonus depending on their profits. Some give help with mortgages, childcare, staff canteens, social clubs, discounts on their products, but all this is being cut back with the present economic climate.

The best thing to do is to check with Companies House, that lists all legitimate companies currently trading in the UK. According to them, there is no current company called Moonfruit, both companies with that name have been dissolved. Neither seemed to be a shoe company.
