i'm older than you and i still love anime!
there's nothing wrong to like anime,it's just your hobby!
just do whatever you want to,there's no need to behave yourself because of your friends.
tell them i'm mature enough to know what i want.
you are the one who 'is imature to say this cause you dont know what i like!(if they are rude to you)

To answer your question...NO.
First of all, anime like Dragon Ball Z are highly focused on values. We see Goku half the time training or fighting bad guys, defending his friends and home, which shows courage, friendship, and even love. If you like anime like this, then the possibility that you're immature is distant to the point of absence.
Second, is maturity based on what you watch? I think it's based more on how you view and feel about things or television programs. Sorry to your friends, but they must know that television programs are not a basis of maturity, no matter what age you are.
Third, your friends are not yourself. You're the only one who knows what will best make you happy and what will help you as a person. Dragon Ball makes you realize a lot of things, like it's sometimes hard to love, and how unpredictable and twisting life really is, and how complicated things can get when you protect the ones you love. It is education in some ways. So where is immaturity's place in those things? Are you immature if you're watching something that makes you a better person?

52 Years old here and I like Cartoons. sorry not Dragon ball Z or fighting cartoons. I'm more Sponge Bob, or the old Bugs Bunny, Lilo & Stitch.
Imature YES,,,,,,, Yes I am, But then so are ALL my friends too.
My advise, get new friends with the same interests as you and Enjoy Life.
PS I dont want to brag but I also have a measured IQ of 128. (75 or below is Mentaly challenged, 100 is average 140 would be Genious)

I'm a full grown guy and I've seen them all but the commercial versions are better than the cable ones because they're uncut. If you're really into anime, you should definitely check out "Ninja Scroll", "Fist of the North Star", and "Wrath of the Ninja" to get you started. These are actually feature length anime films. You'll enjoy them very much. And because of the violence, you're old enough to watch them since they have a mature rating.

There is no imaturity in watching DRAGON BALL Z bcoz its ur choice.Everyone has something which others think is imature so don't listen 2 others & do what u like

I'M 14 and I love anime but not dragon ball z try naruto its much better. Me and my friends would die without anime ! But I dont think ur immature its the same as likeing any other show.

My brother is 25 and he loves Dragon Ballz he even buys the dvd's so that he can watch it sometimes...the other day he said the way i was dressed i looked like lord cooler, so if you are immature you're not the only one and i guess lots of guys never grow up anyway so its okay to love it who cares

F them anime rulez.As long as you dont go off the deep end look for Bleach and Naruto also gr8 anime as well as fullmetal alchimist.Trust me on this.later in life when you old you gong to wish you were a kid so be young as long as you want!

there is a guy around here who is seventy and watches anime every night. he was stationed in japan for a while in the army and just picked up on it. i'm 21 and i watch what ever anime i can find(that looks halfway decent). so no your not immature. It's just a matter of personal preference.

My dear friend, I'm 26 years old and still watching these kind of cartoons. I don't think that the matter of maturity concerns to that. People who think that way are indeed narrow minded.
