Unfortunately, some virus programs and adware can't be removed. Your first step should be to run a virus program to see if it can detect and fix the problem. As a second step, if needed, run a spyware/adware removal tool to see if it can find and remove the problem. If both of these options fail, put on a shirt that says "I love computer nerds!" Then walk around the campus of a university and see if you can attract a nerd that can fix your computer.

Try these (ALL of them) before reformatting, which you may have to do..
The best Anti-virus is: AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition. (www.grisoft.com)
The Best Spyware defense is: SpyBot Search and Destroy (www.spybot.info)
AND: AdAware SE (www.lavasoft.com)
AND Spyware Blaster (www.spywareblaster.com)
The best Firewall besides the one that comes with Windows is: Zone Alarm (http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/co... or just (www.zonelabs.com) and select the FREE version.

These are all FREE and are all that are required. There is no reason to pay for this kind of software, except to give a donation to the writers if you can.
ALL the above programs are recommended and should be run on a regular basis. With some the free versions they must be run manually.

The best way to avoid getting any Malware (virus, Trojan's, spyware, etc) is to practice safe computing. Microsoft and many others have countless articles on the subject of safe computing. (something I think should be taught in schools)

Hi there,

Many of the latest forms of malware pose as security programs - telling you to download a "fix", that is really just an even bigger payload of spyware & adware. Under any circumstances DO NOT follow the advice of these pop-ups.

This will most likely be yet another variant of either Spyware Quake, Spyware Falcon, or System Doctor.

All these variants can be removed by one single program called Prevx1 (no need for 3 or 4 separate programs, each of which has to scan your computer and can conflict causing PC slowdown). They are currently offering a Free Trial of their product that will scan your PC and automatically remove all infections free of charge available from here: (Click on "Infected")

it would have Vista on it and Vista has a secure practices center outfitted contained in the Vista and it would very last for approximately 6-12 months yet in case you want t play it probability-free, you should get a Anti-Virus application with your workstation and then you should position in it.

Quit giving lap dances to strangers with candy... take the necessary precautions and the infection should dissipate over time...

Go to this online scan site and run the scan and remove all that it finds. First go here and download the latest version of Java Update 7

http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_ie.jsp

Online scan here;

http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

If this doesn't remove it (i'd be surprised if it didn't) go here and follow the procedure the MS MVP has.
