The name Angel is given to boys in the spanish culture, but I have not heard of it in any other culture. I would not name a boy Angel because it sounds like a girls name.

I'm not sure why you are thinking about Angel as a name, but I will say this, if you want to name your boy with something exclusive that will carry with him for the rest of his life, I would give him a name of a supreme leader dating back to ancient Greeks or perhaps mythological names so that when he grows with the name it will always build his esteem to become very successful in life and possibly very very rich. The name Angel will signify religion and it can cause controversy in his adolescent years that might make him insensitive due to the attention he will have and that could back fire causing him stressful situations and possibly even having him wanting to change his name name legally down the road. Spare the child the burden, but give him the honor of having a name that he will Cherish as one great gift.

My grandson's name is Angel. I think it is a nice name and it suits him because he looks like an angel.
Another name for angel is Michael, and English name for boys and now of course for girls they use Makayla which came from the name Michael, the angel of God.
