The age of consent in my state is 16...the age in others varies. Delaware I heard has an age of 7. Now here is my question. What was the state of mind of our lawmakers that sat down and actually wrote this crap into law. And do you believe these laws shows the mindset of the society that spewed them forth???

I don't know the answer to you question, but, I doubt very much that the age of consent in Delaware (or any other state - our country for that matter) is 7.

Hey I believe in this consent law, This protects our Children! I just went through this 7 months ago when this jerk off who was 22 tried to continue to see my 14 yr old when I repeatedly told him to stay the HELL away! I don't care who wrote it, I like it and hope it never changes. You will feel the same when you have kids. Or should if you do.

The US Millitary says the age of consent no matter what sate you are in is 18 years of age. anythign less than that and you need written proff and verification. wich the goverment losses half the time so you might still have to wait till 18
