Well, aside from U.S. and going to Asia, I see a lot of Filipinos saw the first release day of Superman Returns in SM Mall of Asia. I saw celebrities in there, they like the IMAX version better because you could wear 3D glasses in there. The casts of S.R. were in the Philippines to visit that mall and probably to interview them on T.V. What do you think?

Well, the Filipinos have always been avid movie goers. Name any foreign movie and chances are, the typical Filipino has already seen it.
I am a Filipina. When I was still in the Philippines, I remember seeing a movie at least 4-6 times a month. That's how much of an avid movie goer I was and most Filipinos are pretty much the same.
You see, watching movies is a cheap form of entertainment in the Philippines, so just for us to be entertained and just for us to get out of the house, we always use watching a movie as our excuse.
It can also be pointed out that more Filipinos watch movies in the summer time. It is real hot back home so the aircon at the movie houses is just one more reason why we like watching movies.
