I want to know where I can find an Institution that can give me a grant or bursary to enable me pursue a Degree in social sciences on distance learning with any Institution.

student loans are available to anyone, distance learning or within university, go to the open universtiy website http://www.open.ac.uk/ then look at finance section. if you want grant or bursary then you should look for vocational course like social work.

Do you mean that you want to pursue degree in Social Science through Distance learning. If that is the case I am afraid no institute provide grant for that. You will have to do with loan that too will be difficult to get as distance learning.

There is a bursary you can apply for if you live in Frinton on sea. It was set up by a wealthy shrimp fisherman, recently deceased. He never found a wife so was never able to have a family. I think it was the over whelming smell of fish or something. Anyway he wanted all in Frinton to have the opportunity to go on to further education, as his children would have if he had any. Are you from Frinton?
