Im pale too so i know the feeling i have gone through loads of fake tans and most of them would leave streaks until someone told me about St Tropez. It didnt streak and the colour was really nice. You just have to make sure that you exfoliate well before use. Also Clarins do a fake tan for pale skin which u can gradually build up. I'd give both a big thumbs up!

I know what you mean about Johnsons. However, have you exfoliated yourself beforehand? It is also recommended that you moisturise as well, especially on your elbows, knees, and ankles, I'd suggest neck as well, but that's just me.
Anyway, I have Nivea Sun Touch Spray for fair skin, and it worked nicely on my legs, no streaks or anything. Though the fake tan is of just one colour, meaning it won't go any darker, if that's a problem. Or you can try Nivea Sun Touch moisturiser, which my Aunt has, and she definately looks tanned.
But, all fake tans work differently because everyone has different skin, so... I would try testers first.

I would suggest going to a beauty salon and getting a St Tropez done or if you want to do it at home make sure you thorougly exfoliate then moisturise your skin. I've used Johnsons & also Loreal Sublime Bronze which gives a nice even colour.

I am fair too and I use Solait Shimmering Self Tan, I got it in Superdrugs of all places (if your in the UK)! Can't remember what it cost as I got it last year but it does not streak, go Orange or Yellow and when you have washed it off it leaves a nice colour behind. It has some gold in it so it makes you look silky too.

You couldn't be any whiter-skinned than my daughters or me and we all swear by Asda's own brand tanning cream. Only £2.85 too!
De-fuzz, exfoliate, moisturise and only use a piece the sixe of a thumb nail to do an area the size of the lower arm. Rub in well. Fabulous golden glow - very natural looking (and even better - you can afford to reapply regularly as it's so cheap!) We reapply every three days or so. No-one knows that its false and it doesn't give you skin cancer. BONUS!
Well smack-a my bum!

Well worth the £3.99 price tag.

Hiya sweety, this is an age old question.
Johnsons Summer Body Lotion is ideal for fair to light skin.
I know you said it goes yellowy but keep using everyday and the colour will develop into a natural light tan.

Just get cooked in the sun!!! or visit my country India. We've got amazing beaches, they're the best places to catch a tan. Most people apply baby oil to their skin to make it look darker, but most people r naturally dusky here.
