No. Go to the FIFA home page. Navigate around. It is explained there. I used to think it would be great if it were every two years but as soon as they finish this years World Cup, they will begin the initial phases for the 2010 World Cup. Four years is about right...

No the FIFA world cup is held every 4 years. It started in 1930 and the winner was Uruguay defeated Brazil in the Finals. The 1942 and the 1946 world cup were cancelled because of The second world war and the rationing. The world cup is always held every four years because the countries need their own matches like for example England need their English premirer league. Until now Brazil is the best with 5 world cups.

Four years apart is about right. They have to get through their own country's premier league matches dont forget?. Any less time until the next world cup would make things too tight for all the teams around the world. It would be simply madness to make it every two or three years!

I think it's good the way it is because the preparations take quite some time and all the teams need enough time to practice and it's better because we don't lose that excitement we always have when world cup starts....... it would be sort of boring if it was every 2 years!

na i dont agree. 4 yrs is right i think, coz its kinda meant to be a one in a life time sort of thing. if u had i every couple of yrs it would prob lose its value. i know 4 yrs is a long time 2 wait, but its worth it, isn't it ?
