management is a tough job.a good manager needs to always listen,remember that your employees are human also and don't ask them to do something that you would not do yourself,always keep in mind that all need to be treated equally even if they are a good friend,and also always remember that you are there for them not the other way around.If you respect each employee and customer then they will respect you but if you treat them with no respect then don't expect any in return.That is about all that I can think of.You should be in good shape as long as you follow two rules,provide good quality service to the customers,respect the individual,

Professionalism is the key. A manager does not need to be harsh nor in command all the time. To be effective and efficient, he should balance himself. He leads yet, he also has to listen to others for suggestions. He has the duty to correct the mistakes of his subordinates, but he should also learn to be humble when he is at fault. It is just a matter of professionalism to maintain a manager's role. And balancing things is the key to all these things.
