I am doing an experiment involving crickets to determine whether or not diet affects a cricket's chirping. I am planning on giving these corresponding combinations of cricket diet:
- High protein and high carbohydrate
- Low protein and low carbohydrate
- High protein and low carbohydrate
- High carbohydrate and low protein.

Would you know of foods that fall under those categories so that i could feed them to my crickets?

Also, would you be able to suggest a small cage/container that i could use to keep just one cricket? (i will be separating the male crickets in order to be able to differentiate their sound and so i will be needing at least 15 suitable cricket cages/containers)

Thank you for your help in advance!

Any methods of catching crickets anyone would like to share? I have been trying to catch crickets but so far no luck... They're either up in the trees-way out of reach- or they just suddenly shush themselves up whenever i get near them.

PS: Does anyone know any cricket dealers in the Philippines?

To start out with should be able to get crickets at your local pet store feeder crickets but they will work. Then high protein and high carbohydrates feed them potatoes raw ( and crickets love this ) watch out cause the chirping will begin. Low protein and High Carbohydrates feed them bread regular white. Grass would be high in protein and low in carbs. ( don't know if it's good for them) Mushrooms low in carbs and low in protein
