We have only been on the moon once.... well supposedly..... so why cant we go back? We have advanced so much in technology.
Many astronauts could not hold the bible and say they saw no UFO's in space....
So how are "we" the public supposed to know whats "truly" going on in space?
I'd like to think we "may" be able to visit Mars in the far future, but the governments scared that if "EVEN" the smallest organism was found it would be covered up and not talked about.
Thankyou

As smart as people like to think they are, we are all still Ignorant.Until that changes and we come together as 1 Species, there will be secrets.Ignorance and fear are our down fall.

Yes it is possible and yes the government keeps secrets, especially about spy satellites. But NASA is not keeping secrets. NASA needs public support to make congress keep funding them.

Why do we not go back to the Moon now that our technology is better? Because our computer technology is way better but our rocket technology is not. The space shuttle and all other rockets flying are using the exact same technology as the Apollo missions did, it isn't improved at all. In comparison, the Shuttle computers are thousands of times more powerful than those used on Apollo.

Too many people and groups who can afford to buy $10,000 per plate dinners at political fund raisers are not interested in NASA or space travel. Too many people in the general population think NASA is a waste of money (Yes, I agree they're idiots who cannot comprehend with their feeble minds what NASA has provided for them, but I digress).
So, until Corporate America can see an immediate potential profit, or the general average undereducated citizen can see an immediate personal benefit, space travel and space exploration will never have the govt backing or popular backing it did in the 1960s.
And, that is why we don't colonize the moon, or go to Mars, etc. No one wants to foot the bill since they don't see any potential profit in it.

I read an article the other day about space travel actually.
A private co. is planning to satrt flights to as close to space as you can get (87 miles straight up) in 2008 at a pricey $200,000 seat.
GET THIS Nasa is building scale models for a elevator to a space sation supported by 1 yes 1 cable and a huge tower.
Until poeple can freely explore their ideas, without govt interruption tho I fear we will never really get there.

well DUH the Government Funds NASA ...its the same as a Sponser Sponsering a Television Show..and the sponser Tells that Show what to say and do... get my drift? only way we the public would know of such things like *Aliens,Certain Historical events that are still covered-up today...Weapons that have been developed and not released to the public,Secret bases and much much more... the Government is the owners, not the companies.
