I am and the 60gb at that.

Canada for $150, that sounds a little cheap even for the Wii so I think your sources are having you on.

Games are rumoured to cost an average of £50 but sony have not ruled out that they can go upto £80 for the top titles which has caused a little bit of pain for many users.

The consoles price is not set to drop in the new year either.

As it is using the very VERY latest technology and not proven tech like consoles in the past it will be late 2007 before any minor price drop is seen. Also because even charging what they are for the console sony are actually making a loss on each console sold!!!! Thats right, your getting it for less than cost price! The money will be made up in extras and games.

I don't know bout UK, but PS3 is way above the cost of $150 in Canada. The 20GB PS3 costs $499 both in USA and Canada. The 30GB PS3 costs $599 both in USA and Canada. I know it cause I live in Montreal. LOL! So if u vonvert $499 or $599 to £, then u can get ur answer. PS3 is gonna be released all over the world at the same time and at the same time.

It'll be a cheap blue-ray player, which is supposed to be a lot better than HD which has already impressed me, but it's an expensive gaming system. Too expensive for my tastes. I'm going to go with the Wii. Not only does the price appeal to me, I love the Nintendo line of chars and the innovation that nintendo brings to the table, not just a number battle over specs and number of games. To me purchasing a console is more about the games than it is the system specs.

I will probably get one eventually. However, every new system that comes out lately either has some major glitches or they put out a new "slim" version after a couple of months. Plus, the price always goes down if you are willing to wait. That goes for the games, too.
