Here's another thing that annoys me. Since hip hop is so popular now, being a gang member is glamourous and it's cool to pop a cap at any mofo that pisses you off. Why have so many people jumped on this retarded band wagon of death?

Cause they have inferiorority complexes and need to build up an image to protect their emptiness. A kick in the balls will send them to the floor. Stupid monkeys. It so funny how they grab their little peckers thinking they have it all. They got shi*

That is a great question. I hope it reaches those people. I cannot understand how youngsters think anymore. To be in that frame of mind to disregard and disrespect other people and the hardworking society as a whole is just (shaking head) so terribly sad and wrong. How can someone have that much hate built in them. Is it brainwashing? They would have to be very young and gullible to fall into that trap. They think it is cool becasue of all the video games they play and the underground rapper video's they watch- Eminem is cool he is smart and talented.. he talks about things he woulfd like to change.. he is construtive- not destructive.. But some of the other rappers out there aren't so cool. Being in a gang is not the smartest thing to do becasue if you get in- most of the time, you aren't coming out alive. Kids/teens don't realize this.. they think that nothing bad will happen to them and that these people in the gang are thier "friends" and will save their butts. If their is any price to pay for friendship, they are not your friends. This is not being strong.. or powerful.. This proves them to the weakest link of society!

I think it's completely stupid. Those who chose to do so have issues with being alone and strongly need to be a part of something or they just want to piss off their parents.
There are those kids that come from broken homes and poverty, they use the gang as a surogate family. There are also kids who join gangs who have a good home and either moderate money or even wealthy. Those kids want attention, either from a parent or from their 'peers'.

Lmfao @ pop a cap at any mofo..anyway..to us gangs may be stupid, but to gang members its not. Don't judge. Most gang members join bc they feel loved & protected, & usually gang members have had a bad life or drugs n such has been in their family history.

Hip hop is cool man. It's like putting Dr. Seuss to music. Of course the music is stolen and no one is talented enough to actually play any kind of instrument, but it's the bomb anyway. In fact, if you turn it up real loud all you can hear is the bass. And you get to wear baggy clothes, with your pants low enough to show your a$$. All that gold bling is cool to, even if you can't read or write. Man,whats not to like? And if you play your cards right you can end up jobless, homeless, with no skills, sitting on your porch with all your other unemployed homees, drinking a 40 oz.,smoking some weed, living like a ghetto rat or in prison or dead. Why bother going to school? The possibilities are endless. Peace out.

Jumpin on the band wagon give one the illusion of identity, power and acceptance, but being a gang memeber or wanting to be is just plain dangerous!

Although you won't hear this or have anyone admit to this it's plain cowardice and ignorance!!

Anytime a person has to answer or retaliate in violence as a response to opposition...they're afraid of the unknown and that my friend is fear and ignorance in a nutshell!

You do have to realize that people are taking their leads from what they see as the only method of communication? They have most likely not been able to articulate in words how they feel at a young age. So consequently they revert to brute force, which has proven to be the most effective tactic in convincing others to see their point of view.

Some young people, would do anything to get a feeling that are being accepted and appreciated for everything the are NOT, instead of what they could become. This is typical for the age of adolescence - seeking approval from your peers. Unfortunately due to innate rebellion which is typical for that age, combined with a unsuccessful parental guidance they choose bad kids as their peers. The reason is obvious – lack of self-conference – I’d fit better with the bad kids. No one understand how fragile is the self-confidence of a growing person.

it has nothing to do with rap
people in gangs just follow the only male role models they have, other male gang members
dont take the easy way out and blame rap it has nothing to do with it
i cant remember the last song i heard a rapper even mention a gang
if there were more men willing to step up their responsibilities and teach their children the right way to live gangs would be nonexisted

We're going to over-populate the planet, so this only helps to alleviate the population pressures. If you want to be in a real bad-a$$ gang, apply to join the Armed Forces. Those mothas use artillary, launch missiles, fly combat helicopters, and they got each other's backs.
