No the two parties both cater to your interest. You have to look at the people who are working for your ideas. Our problem is we have to weed out lies and closed minded people. The system is not bad,the people are.

The main concern isn't immigration. That's just there to distract you from the fact that the two main parties don't give a rat's patoot about the fundemental political prinicples that make this nation worth a darn.
Read the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights, then watch the politicians of the two parties, and note how little respect they have for these principles.
Also, feel free to note that almost all of the federal politicians are from the upper 20% financially.
They don't care much about the lower 80%, do they?
:-)

I think that our parties are, for the most part, operating almost ideally.
Think about it: the vast majority of the politicians in higher office are absurdly ignorant. In fact, put them in any decision making capacity, and they'll almost certainly screw things up.
So, I think that its best if they work as they do now: one party offsets the other's agenda and vice versa to the point that most legislation is virtually innocuous. Think about it: we could go away for six months, and come back, and-barring some castrophic event-there will have been much news out of Washington, but little of any import will have been accomplished.
