Bit of both the men have needs that many foreign women are only too willing to oblige in return for a visa and a new life of luxury in democratic countries like the USA and UK,these women are immensely loyal to their men and the men are grateful to have a women that panders to their every need so good luck to them is what i say if their willing to the risk

I think these men are desperate enough to get a mail order bride and the bride too is desperate to get into this situation. Most of the time the brides use this as a vehicle to travel abroad. A lot of the brides came from poor country/nation and would like to improve their livelihood and experience a different kind of life. Some of them pay a very high price. Why did i say that...because the bride dont have any choice, whomever chooses her is OK irregardless of his behaviour like abusive (physically, verbal abuse etc) ......that man is her only chance.
If these men are really that good not a loser they can get someone locally. They will not try getting someone from overseas. They choose to do this because mail order brides are submissive and sometimes they cant even communicate.

ummm. Well in terms of power relations the men have all the power, money, life in western country, opportunities etc so I would say men are exploiting women. But that reduces it to an economic transaction and no doubt for some men and women who are desperate for love that is much too simplistic. On that level I doubt many mail order brides are ''in it for love'' so they might be said to be exploiting gullible men. In the end I think mostly these are women bought for sex but that the alternative to these women is less attractive.

There really is no such thing as a "mail-order" bride any more. That went out in the '50's because American soldiers were just sending over to Japan to bring these young girls over here. Much chaos ensued.
Now, it is required that the man (or woman, for that matter...) travel to the girl's country, meet her in person and have documentation of that fact. There is a long process- about six months- to go through before the girl is eligible to come to the United States. When she gets here, they must be married within ninety days, or she must legally return to where she came from.
Don't think that these men are so necessarily desperate, though. I know many men who really enjoy Eastern European women- from Ukraine, Romania, Hungary and Russia. Those women have very little opportunity to travel outside of their countries, particularly in Ukraine.
So, the only way to meet a beautiful Ukrainian girl (:D) is to travel there to meet her.
And that also answers your question about why there are no domestic companies that arrange meetings: American girls have the wherewithal and the ability to go anywhere they wish.

I would say they are both desperate.

I guess there are no domestic mail order bride companies...because a woman really would have to be desperate to marry a much older, probably weedy and definitely inadequate man unless she wanted to go a LONG way away from home....

And the distance makes the whole thing more exotic and appealing for the man.

according to the economic breakdown of single professionals who happen to be Ukranian Ladies their pay is horrible thus their wherewithall is a bit shy,and their opportunity is in the west,if only they had a husband.
Most of the men I've read about have had bad luck with western ladies,and these gents are getting older and find these Ukraine Babes taking to mature men-many jump without thinking,some it works well for look at The Donald as an example.

I think most people hate on guys who get women outside of the US because they are ignorant and do not know all of the facts. When I was in the service all of the guys who were married to American women were either going through a divorce or already had a divorce because their wives were cheating on them or had cheated on them the main group of marriages that actually worked were the ones who had foreign wives. my Friend got really stung by a Russian girl who said she was coming over , he sent her two lots of money and never saw her !!

It is all about immigration law. At first it looks as though the men have all the power because they have the money. But on closer examination it is quite different.The guy meets the girl on a web site then he has to get her into the country so the guy marries her. When they are married she has all the power because she can divorce him, collect a wad of his money and still stay in the country. Of course, not all foreign women are playing this game but any men who are thinking of going this route should be very careful.
