He has protected us from other terrorists attacks.
He has kept the economy strong despite 9/11 and the natural disasters we've had. No other president has maintained the economy under such circumstances.
If you're old enough to remember when Carter was president how bad the economy got when Iran took Americans as hostages, and he was preoccupied with it for 444 days, the economy rapidly went downhill. We had the worst unemployment and inflation in the past 50 years. It was hard to find even the worst jobs and the money that you did earn couldn't buy anything but the essentials. This can certaintly happen again and within the same 444 day period that will take years to fix.
Bush brought the stock market near the dot-com level of the past which was a phenomenon not related to the presidency (it was the Internet) of the past. This time it is directly related to Bush.
He has reduced our taxes where the younger wage earners can finally take something home regardless those jealous of the super rich's benefits.
More people "own" homes than ever before. Bush is directly responsible for this and it was almost unknown for a 30 year old to own a home or even rent a home (only apartments) under past presidents. No more throwing money down a rat hole to the landlord.
Most important he is a "do-er" instead of a talker. I liked Clinton since he was interesting to listen to and friendly but he certainly wasn't a do-er. Clinton could have stopped this attack on 9/11 and all of those innocent deaths if he would have taken out bin Laden when he had the opportunity to do so. We woudn't be in a war today. He didn't because it would be controversial and he wouldn't be liked as well.
Bush does what he says and goes to work fast. He does what he believes is right and ignores those wanting to use the media for their own power (talkers instead of do-ers).
If you notice the "talkers" don't have a plan of their own. For instance what is the Democrat's policy for the war other than to cut and run? They have no policy because they would have to "do" something. They just talk. With every turn Bush "does" and his attackers just talk. They tell us how everything he is doing is wrong but they don't have an alternative way to do it right.
Imagine a boss telling you that everything you are doing is wrong but won't tell you how to do it right. Eventually you realize that he doesn't know how to do it right.
Bush is a fine president and that is the very reason he was elected twice. The other side wanted to put up "talkers" for us to hire them. Kerry said, "This is the worst economy since the Great Depression." So far I haven't seen you or my parents on a soup line… a line of people waiting for food so they won't starve... an event that "really" happened. And not a "few" people but most people that are willing to work and work hard but can't find a job. It certainly could happen again.
In the next election decide if the person you are going to hire for the job only wants you to give them power or really wants to work for you once they get in office.
If they tag their opponents with childish names as they did in grade school you’ll realize they'll run this country like a child in grade school. If they make excuses for why we haven’t been attacked, ask yourself if they will give you excuses when we are attacked. Ask them if they would have attacked bin Laden if they had the opportunity like Bill Clinton had.
If they won’t answer questions like Bush answers in press conferences you can bet they will do the same if they are our President. Pay close attention when they avoid telling reporters what they will do. Anyone can say they will do it better and different but only those that have a plan and will state such “may” ‘do’ what they say should be done.

Hmm. There was "No Child Left Behind"... but with too little or nonexistent federal funding, um... children are still being left behind in droves. There was that time he gave every taxpayer some money... which left a multitude of poor single mothers wondering why all these people who already had money were getting fat checks for having kids and they weren't getting **** even though the money would have served them a lot better but because they didn't make enough money to be raped by the IRS every year they got screwed by the Executive Branch. While he's got our fighting men and women over there inadvertently killing Iraqi civilians in the course of their mission to eliminate the baddies and rebuild that country (please understand I am not attacking you guys and gals in our armed forces on this--I know you follow your orders and just try to stay alive and in one piece with all your original parts. I support you all the way!), we have crumbling schools and infrastructure all across our nation that desperately need attention. He lowered some taxes, most of which have helped out those who already have the most have more. I can't think of a thing he's done that has improved the country as a whole, even though he's done a lot to improve the lives of his political base.

You need to look farther than your TV set. The liberal media will not say or do any thing to support our president or make him look good. He has many acomplishments under his belt. 1. He's taking the war on terror to the terrorists and not playing defense on our home front. This alone, I feel has been his greatest acomlishment. There have been NO ATTACKS on the U.S. since 9/11 and this can not be over looked. 2. Iraq. There has been more freedom brought to this country then it has ever known in the past under it's evil dictator Sadom Hussain......buy the way there were weapons of mass distruction found in Iraq but I don't think this made it past CNN's editing desk. Look into it. There were over 500 chemical rounds found. 3. The Econemy. It's been doing much better than expected and has reached all time highs in the past few months. Don't bother listening to the news on this topic either. DOOM and GLOOM is all your going to hear. If you want the truth watch the stock market. 4. Taxes HAVE NOT been raised. If you want to pay more taxes you need to vote for Kerry or Hillary. They love to take your money for wellfare, unemployment and food stamps and give it to people that WON'T work. Not that they can't they just won't. These programs have there place and are needed to help people but are more often than not abused. If you need more example's, please let me know. I can go with this answer but have to put it to rest. Good question, and I hope I gave you the answer you were looking for.

Hmmmmmmm, he opend up the job market. With all the people that are enlisted and getting killed in Iraq there are a few more jobs. And he's made it possible for all the cokeheads in college that ever wanted to be President to realize that thier dream can also come true. ;) And for all the people saying the market is great then whdoes it look like we are headed for a nice inflation? And why is my 401 K performaing poorly? And no child left behind, have you really seen the stats? Now they just prep the kids to pass the test and they still don't learn **** but now they can pass a ******* test. guess maybe it worked out for white folks but he seems to have screwed black folks, middle class, lower class and Muslins folks over not to mention the Californians and Texans. And if drugs are down then why can I (who doesn't touch that ****) go out RIGHT now (4:22) and find ANY DRUG I want, and a gun to go with it?

Yes. Lowered taxes. The economy is doing really well (because of the tax breaks). He nominated a put on the bench 2 excellent supreme court justices that judge by the constitution, and do NOT legislate from the bench. The war on terror is a good thing, and so was freeing 50 million people, although they are not Americans.

As to the person above me, he failed to ban same-sex marriage and its a bad thing, the United States takes a major tourist hit from not allowing same-sex marriage(except for Massachusetts)
He has accomplished somethings though, if it weren't for him we would not know how far the president can illegally extend his powers without being stopped. After him the presidential powers will most definitely be reduced.

Maybe you should pay more attention. He has done allot of great things for this country. The market has done great, the military pay has gone up tremendously, the housing market has skyrocketed, interest rates are great, the unemployment rate is at a historical low, the border jumpers are getting what coming to them and things are heading in a positive direction.

He did unite us after 9/11 and led an amazing offensive on Afghanastan to free them from Taliban control.
There are good things Bush did however the bad things always overshadow them because so many people hate him now.
