There hasn't been a universal war that I know of, but if you are referring to WW2, it don't believe there was a winner. The countries which were the "winners" also lost people and finances during the war.

universal? err i didn't know we where at war with the univers.. if you mean World War II, it was the allies, America, Great britain and France... but france surenderd not too long after it started
