are the poor getting uglier, and the rich getting prettier?

Question

this is something i am obsessed with, it concerns simple genetics and economics.

let me specify,
if a man was rich but "ugly" he maight marry a pretty wife, as yes i think he could, money does alot in that aspect.
and if he was born poor but super handsom, genetics, he would be more likely to have more choices in life and possibly become rich.
i am not saying that rich are good looking, in a celebrity sort of way, i am talking about even the differances between middle class and poor

Your question is more sociological than biological.
It's is more likely a good-looking person will be promoted in a job than a less aesthetically pleasing worker.
It's human nature, people choose people to place around them they want as reflections of themselves or are more comfortable with better looking people.

In the pure biological sense, this would only be true if beauty were a specific trait, and not the result of multiple traits.
For example two beautiful people could have an ugly child, it will have traits from each parent but that does not mean they will be good-looking.

And the other posters are correct, more well-to-do persons have greater access to health care and proper nutrition. This means they will likely take better care of themselves and even have surgical methods of improving their appearance.

I would like to know the pretext that make you to link economical condition with Beauty or Prettiness. But dear, did you forget "bueaty lies in the eye of the beholder". Ofcourse the rich can carry themselves well but can not make themselves beautiful.
Perhaps the people now a days are getting more greedy, that's why they find reach people preettier(preety ness enhanced with the glitter of the gold). ha ha ha.
Ya the reverse may be true, that a very preetty girl can make her reach by geting into show business.This way your assumptions holds partially.

Rich get pretty from plastic surgery(if you can even call that beauty), unless your Micheal Jackson. Poor get natural, not ugly, you just have to look at it a different way.

to me there is no difference people that are poor are just as pretty as the next rich person the only reason why its seems that way is becuase they spend soo much money on trying to look their best such as plastic surgery and other things.

richer getting prettier as they get all the necessary components in the food which are necessary to build up their body in all respects which includes their external appearence and skin quality also. on the contrary the poor get uglier as they don't get those necessary components essential for their body due to lack of food quality.

depends how much time you spend in front of the mirror, i know alot of poor people who (like i am) look like they were very wealthy just by judging appearance, i think the assumption would be hygiene, alot of low income families feel rushed, and its harder to take care of themselves. honestly, beauty is what you make of it, we are being told everyday what beauty should be, that doesnt make it right.
