This Italia team is reminiscent of the 1982 squad. Back then, all European teams in semi-finals, Paolo Rossi didn't score until the 5th game, and Italy's Serie A had a betting scandal + corruption hanging over the league.
Fast forward to this squad/2006, all Euro teams in semi-finals, Luca Toni scoring 2 goals in 5th game, and Italy Serie A is again embroiled in scandal do to betting.
The WC trophy is due back home in Italy. Viva Italia!!

I'm an Iranian but an Italian fan. Italy can win Germany but if they are not influenced by German supporters! I wish we win the cup. Actually I'm too angry from World cup 2002, and want to kill Korea (ANN YONG HWAN).
But I think Italy after the match vs. Ukraine showed it had the ability to beat any team.
