It was said that an Argentina player deliberately stepped on a German player after the match. A terrible sign of poor sportsmanship on the part of Argentina!

Okay. It is a little bit complicated, but this is what (supposly) really happened:
1. During the penalties, the Argentinians insulted the German players (ironically, they didn't understand a word because spanish insulting barely happens in Germany)
2. When the German player BOROWSKI came back from his penalty (he scored) he told the Argentinians nonverbal to shut up.
3. As a reaction, the Argentinan player Cufre hit MERTESACKER right in his crown jewels. (Cufre perhaps took Mertesacker to be Borowski, as both of them are tall, blond and thin) -> poor boy, gets the trouble without doing anything. However, this was just the beginning:
4. German Team Manager Bierhoff came to look after Mertesacker and on this occasion, he told the Argentinians what he tought of them. (As Bierhoff spent some time in foreign countries, ist is possible that the Argentinians understood him)
5. Now, it was time for Rodriguez (as you can tell, an Argentinian) to communicate nonverbal: He ran, ran, ran and hit the german player Schweinsteiger, who tried to get Bierhoff out of the crowd, on his head.
Then, chaos was complete.
Later, Frings (german) was said to hit Argentinians. (Only italian newspapers have published this foto... No comments)

two: some in german crowd doing "heil hitler" salutes
