Are all doctors rich?

Do you think doctors have alot of money going out as a result of mal practice insurance,school loans, payroll and the buildings there offices are in and things of that nature?We just had a 4th of July get together at this (basically) trailor park on the Tennessee River, that people use on weekends and such and there was a MD out there,How cool is it that he would be hanging out at a trailor park?

Not all doctors are rich.

The main reason doctors charge so damned much is because of the obscene cost of malpractice insurance. (If you can find a doctor who "goes naked" - doesn't have malpractice insurance - s/he will be MUCH cheaper.)

Many doctors do what they do because they love humanity. Medecins Sans Frontiers (Doctors Without Borders), for example, aren't in it for the money, but to do what good they can for people around the world.

This isn't to say that some aren't in it for the money - most notably, cosmetic surgeons (to be separate from reconstructive surgeons, who rebuild destroyed faces and bodies).

It's right in the Hippocratic Oath - "I will prescribe regimens for the good of my patients according to my ability and my judgment and never do harm to anyone."

First of all no not all doctors are rich.Some doctors even choose not to be rich by entering into practice in small rural communities where they know they will never see the big bucks of big city doctors or specialist.

Secondly most doctors would and should be offended by your statement, obviously indicating that doctors in general would not hang out in a trailer park or consort with people that would.My best friend is a doctor and is one of the most down to earth, average Joe type person you would ever meet,in spite of his success financially and he is not unique in his chosen vocation.

Many doctors go fishing,ride motorcycles with us on the weekends in biker garb,work out at our gym and basically there not any different than us.Why would you generalize doctors as too good for a trailer park, like its a big deal one was there hanging out.Here's a little tip don't judge people you don't know and just because all birds have wings,doesn't mean all birds fly.

No not all Dr.'s are rich. Sadly they have debt just like everyone else. Their main debt is the loans most had to take out for medical school which can be very expensive, especially if they have decided to practice a particular specialty. Not to mention the credit card debt, the big house and fancy cars to make it look as if they are rich. The debt of that fancy private school or boarding school most of their children attend.

Er Dr.'s are the ones that make the least because their sole paycheck comes from the hospital they work for.

Definitely without a doubt NOT ALL [as generalized] doctors are rich for one simple fact. In respect to the oath they have taken.. life has the utmost value.

Hmm.. most doctors are financially well off, at least in the USA and can make up to $800,000+ if they study surgery and make partnership, which is fairly easy to do. Family doctors do fare quite badly, relatively speaking.

A small minority of doctors choose to forsake a large salary in favour of going abroad and work in developing countries.

Not all are rich. Wealth here depends on degree, skill, and luck!
Many of the docs don't get patients easily!

It depends on how a doctor treats a patient and how the patients benefit from his prescriptions! I myself feel that to be rich you have to be successful!

Doctors have to pay for their college just like anyone else, so they don't have any money at all until they have been in practice for many years.

All doctors probably make almost $50,000 yearly but if you consider that rich than I guess they are all rich than, in some professions it depends on the qualification.
