I'm trying to install wsus but it runs setup and gets stuck on a windows 2003 server.

Make sure you install IIS (and I think with ASP) first.

It will tend to have problems if the server already has a website defined. The default website on a WSUS server must be the wsus website. It will never work with some other website as the default website.

At what point is it getting "stuck"? It is generating an error or just freezing. If it's freezing, then I'd look into problems with your server.
