i need to know cause its always been a mystery to me.

I looked around on the internet and this is what I found. Most people say Yareli is Africo-Cuban or Africo-Brazilian. Yareli, like Yaritza, is probably an elaboration of Yara, a name which is said to go back to the Tupi (Native American) word for "lady" and which has been used in Spanish speaking countries of the Caribbean for many years.
