i sold a computer and it keeps crashing while the new owner plays "Ragnarok". The monitor turns off but computer stays on. Also, sometimes when he turns on the computer, the monitor does not turn on. Anyone know what the problem may be? He has a Samsung 14" or 15" LCD.

computer spec:
Pentium 4 3.0ghz
1gb ram
GeForce fx 5700 ve 256mb agp

Sounds like there may be something wrong with the video card's driver. Go to the manufacturer's website and download / install the latest driver:
http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

Other things to try:
- use the installation CD for windows to repair the OS
- make sure you have all the latest Microsoft updates

If all else fails, reinstall Windows.
Be sure to back up your files first.

well if you know the vidoe card is good, and the CPU chip is good, next guess would have to be the monitor. There may be something wrong with that. I might try reinstalling the driver for the video card if you can, and make sure he meets all the req. for the game.

Might not be a bad idea to check the graphics card as well as reinstall the drivers.

When in doubt, re-installt he whole thing. There are people with bad internet surfing habit that leads to virus and spywares all over the harddisk.

Get your monitor checked. I had that problem too (and it's still bein fixed).
