You would need a near limitless supply of power capable of increasing output exponentially.

I can't, and I can try to explain why with Einstein's theory of relativaty. Its quite a difficult concept to grasp, but just know that the faster an object moves, the greater its mass becomes, and the slower time goes from that frame of reference. I know it sounds like bull, but its been proven using atomic clocks (they use light to measure time at the speed of light from that frame of reference). You are most likely going to have to read a book about this one, but if any solid object moved at the speed of light, theoretically its mass would become infinite...which just isn't possible. Also, time would stop completely around that frame of reference. Sorry, I did the best I could to explain.
I thought of an example to demonstrate the concept: If you throw a rock forward from a moving vehicle, the rock is going the speed you threw it plus the speed of the car, correct? Well, whether the car is moving or not, it has been proven that the light from the headlights never changes speed, therefore it must be at the maximum.

PICK ME! PICK ME! I know what I am talking about!
No, nothing can travel faster than the speed of light, and it is not a 'no power enough' stuff but a physics law that velocity speed is the absolute speed and nothing can go faster than that.
Doesn't matters how much technology you wanna use it is just an impossible thing, you can't travel at just light speed either, the faster that physics law would allow you is a little bit (as little you want but a bit) slower than that but then you would become a little little thing with a huge huge mass (according to Einstein's relativity theory). But anyway there is no technology that would let you go not even near to the light speed.

well, no. When you hear something like "Mack 1", that means that that is faster than the speed of sound. But I don't think we will ever get past the speed of light, considering it would probably kill whoever was going at such a speed.
If it does ever become possible, then it will probably only be used in space travel, because if used on earth, it could cause some major damage not only to the ecosystem, but also to the atmosphere

Yes, u can travel faster than light, If you are photons.
As some scientist say that our pure consciousness is photon.
May be after death we travel at that speed.

You can only if you could bend light.
And the cool thing about it is that you can travel to the past, if you could bend light therefor traveling faster than the speed of light.

possibly at some point in the future, but we won't be able to survive it...I think the real question is what would you see when you're moving faster than light?
