Sometimes rabbits stomp their back feet when they're frightened. However, if your rabbit is very close and bonded to you, he will also stomp his back feet to communicate to you that he's dissatisfied with something! Here's a great site that explains so many aspects of rabbit behaviour -

It is a warning sign -- about the only warning tool a rabbit has! The intent is to scare off whatever is bothering the rabbit.

well, im 15 and i have two rabbits, when ever they stomp their feet it's always when their scared or when a predator comes by, so i asked my mom and she said the same thing. so i hope this is helpful for you.

My rabbits do that when it's feeding time, when my dog is pestering them from under their pens, and when they can see my ferret while I am outside with him. I think that it means that some of them could be trying to tell the others that something's happening.

It is a warning and he is trying to intimidate something to make it go away or leave him alone.
Mine used to do it all the time when the dog would stare at him.

if its male it means it wants to breed though i have see a rabbit who did that cuz he was happy

They do it because of fear, threat, or while breeding.
We used to raise rabbits.
