It's because rap has lost its meaning. Every little "thug" that can beat box or think of witty lyrics quickly, think they have what it takes to be a good rapper. The old school rap had meaning. A story behind it, but now its all about tryin to get the listener to bob their head.

hey, who to the C out of rap any wayz!!! RAP IS CRAP!!! NO TALENT. the only talent they have is they fact taht yes, they can toalk fust and rhyme and have a beat to it, but all the music is the same. rap is destined to die, it can only go so far. just chuck on a drum machine, a two not bass line, write a poem, say it real fast with vulgar themes, and BADABING! Rap. FInd realy music that actually requires talent, by realy artists. If you like rap, i respect that, thats fine, all im trying to say is dont hold your breath on it lasing forever.

people listen to rap because of their meanings. I think less raps are worth listening to these days, but the rest sure do. maybe after sometimes they'll return to rap when there is better productions.

Rap is becoming too vulgar. Many people don't want to listen to a song full of sex (in detail) and swears. Give me decent lyrics, and I'll give you an audience.

People do not listen to rap anymore becuase it creates terrible spelling and grammar habits (as exampled above) and 2ndly it just sucks A$$.

I think that hip-hop is much better than rap. Rap seems to be against women. Hip-hop seems to inspire more fun (& sex). maybe rap is just not popular in your area.

well, i dont like rap and the reason why is because all they do is talk, and i hear alot of people saying that(my friends and family).
