Um, I think you meant deSert, right?
If you meant desert, the answer is Antarctica (not all deserts are made of sand).
If you meant dessert, the Washington Post had an article on 1/16/06 about a 8 and a half ton scoop of ice cream in China.
And if you were being silly, then the biggest dessert in the world is the big piece of cake that you are too full to eat while stuck in the Sahara desert. :)

Are you looking for the biggest desert, or the biggest dessert?
The Guinness Book of Records lists an apple strudle, made in Germany, that was the size of a football field and is currently the largest dessert in the world.
And according to wikipedia, the Sahara IS the largest desert in the world.

The Canadian Desserts were very famous for size & Taste.
The Most POPULAR Aunt Sarah's Hot Fudge Brownie is considered to be the biggest Dessert. I have heard about this dessert available at Aunt Sarah's Restaurant in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada.
I learn that less-popular the Apple Strudle made in Germany ( to Football Field Size, holds the Guiness Record for Desserts.

When I was a kid, there was this restaurant called "Farrell's." It was an ice-cream parlor-y kind of place, and they had what they called "the zoo." It was a stainless steel bowl full of icecream and all kinds of toppings, etc. Must have weighed at least 10 pounts, likely more. It was so big they needed a stretcher and two people to carry it to a table. That's the biggest dessert I have ever seen.
Others, like, the world's biggest ice cream sundae, pecan pie and what have you, I don't consider to be desserts, just publicity stunts. I mean, eew!

Generally speaking, at Culver's at least, the biggest dessert is a Banana Split, although I guess you could probably make a pretty big four-scoop sundae, the thing is the Banana Split just has so much on it. Then again, a custard cake or half-gallon of frozen custard would probably qualify as the absolute biggest desserts.

You are quite correct to point out that Antarctica is a desert. It is
what is known as a cold desert, which is probably why you find that it is
not classified along with hot deserts like the Sahara. A hot desert is
defined by geographers as a region where the rate of evaporation exceeds
precipitation, and where precipitation is below 254 mm per year. In a
cold desert, by contrast, there is little evaporation, so low
precipitation alone determines its status as a desert.
In Antarctica precipitation is less in the interior of the continent than
along the coasts. The reason is that coastal areas are more open to the
influence of cyclones. In the interior of Antarctica precipitation is as
low as 50 mm per year, while in coastal regions it can be as high as 250
mm per year. Thus even coastal precipitation is usually within the range
that we would consider to be a desert. The entire continent is,
therefore, a vast cold desert. It is, as you rightly say, larger than the
Sahara (Antarctica is about 14.2 million square kilometres in size, and
the Sahara is just over 9 million square kilometres).
As you rightly point out, Antarctica is clearly the largest desert on
Earth. The reason you do not often see it listed along with hot deserts
is mainly, I suspect, just that people think of deserts

Actually, the Sahara is only the world's largest *nonpolar* desert. The largest desert in the world is really Antarctica, at 5,500,00 square miles. A desert is classified as an area having less than 10 inches of precipitation per year, and precipitation includes both rain and snow.
