Maybe another way of thinking about this question is to think back to the game against Serbia and Montenegro and decide if you prefer Cambiasso's or Tevez' goal.

Immediately prior to Cambiasso's goal, Argentina held possession of the ball for nearly a minute, making 20+ passess between nine different players. By contrast, Tevez scored after dribbling through two defenders and kicking to the far post.

I think the Brazil/France game answers this question perfectly. When you look at how Zidane controlled the tempo of the game when France had possession, it shows you the essence of what individual talent means for the team as a whole. Zidane passed to Henry, Henry made the goal. Would he have been able to do that if the ball wasn't passed to him? No. Would that score mean anything if the team was unable to defend against Brazil? No. A team is a group of talented individuals who work together for a common goal. Sometimes just one person shines, but then his work means nothing without the efforts of the others.

Talent by itself it is not good enough. You must have the strength of character to win. Argentina, except in the last world cup, 2002, always had the talent. And for some reason, they always play scare to lose. Spain and Portugal are two more good example of this choking attitude. Brasil, on the other hand, are winners. 1994 and 2002 are good examples, winning with those mediocre teams. This time, they faced a better team who wasn't scare of them, like everybody else.

Team work will and France has that chemistry at the moment. Portugal has Figo and Ronaldo, two shelfish show boats and that is why they will have to wait another 40 years to win any cups.
