Do not expect the pay to be good, I hope you want to do this for the experience, which will be amazing, I'm sure.
You need to contact a private school, public schools DO NOT teach English, and the pay is even worse!!! Find a private school in a mayor city, such as Puebla, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Queretaro, but please stay away from Mexico City, it's unsafe, polluted and crowded.
You don't say what level are you interested in teaching, but I am positive that any private elementary school may be intrested in your skills, for they value native speakers to increase their students' comprehension level.
I suggest you choose a city, and start from there.

Try Dave's ESL Cafe- he has a forum just relating to teaching in Mexico. From what I gather, jobs definitely exist but the pay isn't very good and living conditions can be rough (especially at private language schools). If you have a real teaching qualification (PGCE or B.Ed) you could look for work in the public school system or at an international school (see second link).
