It depends on what you want to do. You can go to Sentosa, and just walk around the entire island.
Alternatively, if you're into photography you can go to the Botanic Gardens, there is also a nice cafe and a restaurant where you can have a decent meal. Have a picnic!
Or go to the Science Centre. I don't know how much admission is, but it's not that expensive.
The Night safari is also a fun place - admission is $16, and you'll have to spend some money on transportation there. But it's worth it.

Go to the Zoo. One of the best in the world. You feel like you're right next to the animals. I don't remember how much, but I don't remember it being expensive. I've heard the Night Safari at the Zoo is pretty cool too. I don't remember how much, but I was pleasantly surprised how little it was.
You can also go to Holland Village, which is an ex-pat hangout.
You can also take a bus to Malaysia, but I've never been.

you can go to the goat farm if you don't find it smelly, it's at lim chu kang, you can take a bus there from choa chu kang mrt station on weekends. if i'm not wrong, it's $2 for the bus, will take you to the vege farm, frog farm... if you drive, it will be easier to go there.
