I just bought Roller Coaster Tycoon Deluxe off of EBay, and I was trying to install it. It gave me an error message telling me to kindly uninstall RCT before installing the new one. I had downloaded the very first RCT off the internet before buying this one, and hadn't yet removed it. So I uninstalled the first RCT, and reattempted installation of the new one. Same error message. So I went through my program files, looking for any remnants of system files for the first RCT. Then I deleted the initial install file I downloaded. I tried to install the new one again, to no avail. Could someone please tell me something I could do to completely exorcise this God-forsaken program from my computer so I can install my new one? Thank you!

Sorry to sound like a scolding parent ... but ... That's what you get for downloading an illegal copy onto your computer. Now the advice. The first one was probably listed in the Hasbro Interactive folder under program files, delete that entire folder. You probably won't be able to save or use your old game saves on the new version anyway because it's not patched (I know you know what I mean) If you applied a patch (Drexler) to the old one you probably have some reminance of it still in your registry. try a Reg cleaning program to get rid of stuff you don't need. Download CCleaner here, http://www.ccleaner.com/ it's free, and run it. You should be good as new. Just so you know, any trainers TRG or otherwise won't work with this version. If you have any other questions email or IM me.

Go to Settings then Control Panel then Add/Remove Programs and find it on the list and click remove then follow the steps of uninstalling it and it should be uninstalled thoroughly.
