I hear parents giving excuses; they're too busy; they have jobs. Aren't their families more important? Divorce rate is 53%. I guess marriages have come last as a priority. What can we do to stop this epidemic of teen pregnancies and teen sexual activity if the parents are not making their marriages a priority in the home?

The excuses of "It's always been", "You can't change it," are lazy. If you are adamant about abortion, about teen pregnancy, about welfare, about "boys" not paying child support, how can you be so "matter of fact" about these answers? I'm shocked.

Teenage sexuality always has, and always will, exist. It's not a problem per-se, it's just the consequences due to lack of education that become a problem. A lot of the time? Reckless teenage sexual behavior is rampant whether the parents are together or not. When it comes down to it, it depends on the teen themself, on the proper education, and on personal morals. You can't really make marriage and divorce issues hold hands with teenage sex issues in that right. My parents have been divorced for almost 10 years and I have never used sexuality as rebellion. I did lose my virginity at 18, but I am in love with the man I'm with and we've been together for a year, so it's a commited loving relationship.

You are either very naive or very ignorant to think that every marriage can be saved. What do you teach your children about life and love by staying in a bad marriage.Children learn about love of others from their family.how can you discuss problems when the husband is drunk or abusive? Would a daughter/son want this dad go to school meetings, attend sports with his son or take him fishing, Can you pay bills when the paycheck is drank away or gambled away? Can you bring home school friends if you're not sure if your dad will be in a good mood? What memories of your childhood do you have?I'm sure you have pleasant ones.Children from broken homes do not have this privilege. They have not had the pleasure of knowing you can cry because you are happy and not just in emotional pain.Should you stay married in a loveless marriage, hell no.

Why should people stay in a marriage if they find it too much?
Teenage sex is natural. As soon as we mature and develop this is the Natural time to have sex. Only because of the society we have lived in for a few hundred years dictate that sex is dirty. Why not make your kid look after a baby for a week and then they will be put off sex for a very long time

You have to be joking! Teenage sex is the most natural thing in the world - that's why God made us the horniest when we are that age. But just because our kids are having fun it doesn't mean that they can't be aware of the dangers and the responsibilities. We have to talk to our kids about emotions, contraception, responsibility and dangerous diseases - and treat THEM with respect.
