Uch, you must be at that awkward age where half your friends are single and half are married.
Try this, the next time your mom makes an insane comment (about something else), roll your eyes, shake your head and say, "Oh yeah, right, and I like (his name here)"
If things get weird in the band, just say, "Yeah, and you're not the ONLY man mom's been calling on the phone!"
A note, people do assume the worst. When I was single, my sister told me not to hang out with her brother-in-law because it looked bad.
It'll all change once you're married. Then you're "safe" apparently.

Stop being a good friend with a married man. You might not agree, but being a friend with him looks bad and also can set you up for an affair. If people are sensing this, believe them.
You are setting yourself up for trouble. Don't you see the TV about all these married and older guys going after young women/girls. This guy might not be like that, but why take the chance?. And like I said, if other people are sensing this isn't right for you to be his friend, then believe them.
Not sure how old you are........but it is never good for a woman of any age to be good friends with a married man. You might see it as innocent, but those who watch the two of you must be seeing sparks. Where there are sparks there is eventually fire.
Tell your mom that you don't understand this, but you will respect her wishes and take some distance between you and the man. Show her what I wrote here.

well thats a hard one, you mother is only trying to protect you but she must also understand you have you life and friends. You must sit down and talk to her and show her you are good friends and she must trust you and repect the fact that you, like her have to do things your way. Try this, hold an object ie spoon candle it does not matter what but say to your mum, while I am holding this I talk you listen, then give her the object and she talks and you listen. The time each holds the spoon is two minutes at a time. That way no shouting or interupting. Good luck

You're mom is being overprotective. She may have seen friendly interaction and read into it. Let her come around sometime as you are hanging out with him and his wife. Show her how you respect the fact he's married and that you won't cross that line. If she still doesn't understand then ask her to stop talking about it and do not call him. Its not her place anymore.

I don't know but if you're 18 or older I'd tell your mom to stuff it and that it's none of her business anyway. Isn't it great how if you like a guy that automatically according to some people you want in his pants? lol! Just ingore youre mom, she's gonna be the one looking like an idiot in the end.

Your mom should not have gone there. If you do not have a crush her probably thinks you do now. And if his wife heard, wow that is going to cause problems in their marriage. Going to make band practice really weird.

What a silly situation..
Just let the guy know that its untrue...
and as long as he believes you it shouldn't matter what the rest of them think.
