Here's my theory. Everybody's seen the soccer world cup. It's boring because the teams are too careful, not making mistakes and stuff.

In the NFL, the off-season has seen a VERY active free agency period. Lots of players have switched teams, even though a higher cap meant that more current players could be kept in-team.

Well, lot of trades means teams with lots of changes, less consistency and more mistakes. Add to this the 10 new head coaches, and we have even more mistakes, thus even more scoring and fun. Just like the NCAA.

Could be. There was a lot of talent in the draft this year and there were a lot of really good trades and free agent signings. We may see some teams in the playoffs this year that we haven't seen in a while. Arizona comes to mind. Maybe even Miami or New Orleans. I think every NFL season is great. I just wish it lasted longer!

I sincerly dout there is any reason to think this NFL season will be any better than the past. it only gets worse as the years pass. the NFL is over hyped over paid and over exposed... i loveee football mind you but the game isnt about the game anymore its a specticle of bulked up jerks that have too much weight on there bodies to move... i miss the days when anyone could play in the NFL ,the 60s ,70s and even the 80s no mater what size you were it was about athletic ability not the how much you weigh or how much you bench.these guys are making alot of people sick of the NFL....so i guess i disagree lol....

This will be a very competitve season because it was the second largest salary cap increase in NFL history, meaning teams will have more money to spend on better talent.

I think people are more excited about the number of college players that are going to play a key role on their teams. I am looking foward to see how Reggie Bush is going to do. Lendale White will do great in the NFL.
