who thinks south africa has any chance of recovering from apartheid?

I do on Mondays. Wednesday, Fridays and Sundays. But I am not too sure on the other week days.

SA might recover if the current government can move on. The country is still see sawing between a stable non-racial enduring democracy or sliding into a Zimbabwe type situation.

After WWII the Germans moved on and rebuilt and created an economic miracle in twenty years. The Russians got into the mindset that the WWII damage could never be fixed. Sixty one years later Russia still has bomb damage from WWII.

The ANC, twelve years, on is still fixating on apartheid, not on providing solutions for the now problems. Crime is going to kill democracy in SA unless it is addressed. Iraq, which is a war zone. has a maximum estimated death toll of 43215 in three years. Which is about 15 000 a year. The number of Murders and violent deaths in South Africa is over 20 000 a year.

Making statements on how crime is an apartheid legacy are not constructive government activities.

south africa has no chance whatsoever of recovering from apartheid because apartheid was good for the country. south africa now is a bed of crime, filth, and decay. the boers and other whites should move back to europe or carge out their own homeland. let the blacks continue to degenerate back to the jungle. that's what they want anyway...

It will be while, but probably happen in 20 years or so, when the majority of people are of the post apartheid era.

Africa does not appear to have a successful culture now or in the past. Why I don't know. It appears that the mentality of the people is not conducive to anything constructive. They all seem to be battling some sort of catastrophe after another: wars, slavery, starvation, over-population, dictatorship, and on and on and on.
